Education System Overview
In the 2019-2020 academic year, 1 U.S. student studied abroad for academic credit in Montenegro.
Academic year: September – June
Major school holidays/break: July – August
Major exam period(s): December, June and April (for seniors)
Four years of English language classes are required for all Montenegrin high school students, as well as an additional 1 - 2 years for university students.
