Ecuador’s Ministry of Education developed the “Time to Teach” program to increase upward mobility by improving English education in public schools throughout the country. Volunteers have the opportunity to gain teaching experience, explore Ecuador’s rich cultural heritage and enjoy one of the most bio-diverse countries in the world.
The Ministry of Education offers subsidies for groups of foreigners who teach Mandarin in U.S. schools, colleges, or universities to visit Taiwan for further professional training and observation. A subsidy of NT$2,000 per day (approximately US$65) is provided for 2 weeks for each teacher.
ThinkSwiss Scholarships support highly motivated and qualified U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to get a research experience or to participate in a summer school course in Switzerland. This program provides a monthly scholarship of USD 1,100 for a period of 2 to 3 months and is open to students of all fields.

The Teaching Assistant Program in France offers you the opportunity to work in France for 7 months, teaching English to French students of all ages. Each year, over 1,100 American citizens and permanent residents teach in public schools across France and in French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion. Applications are available in October.
The French Embassy in the U.S. offers the France on Campus Award under the patronage of film director Wes Anderson to support initiatives that explore France in new and creative ways. Student organizations receive funding, mentorship, and networking to help launch or continue a major France-related project on campus. Deadline is November 1st.
