In the 2019-2020 academic year, 1,829 U.S. students studied abroad for academic credit in Greece.

Major school holidays/break: Mid-December – early January, two weeks in April for Greek Orthodox Easter
Major exam period(s): High School: May - June; University: January, February and September
Three years of English language classes are required for all Greek high school students, as well as an additional two years for university students.
